Saturday Siblings 10/06/16

This week’s Saturday Siblings takes place on the River Avon, where we went for a jaunt to feed the ducks. It was the first time that Littlest has been allowed to roam free and she was pretty pleased about it. She finds ducks – well all animals really – pretty thrilling, and so some restraining was required in order to prevent her diving head-first into the river.

I love this shot of them both peering over, so curious. What you can’t see is that there were actually huge grey fish – over two feet long – rising up the surface to gulp at the bread. The ducks wouldn’t come near them and fled up river. To be honest, I found the fish a tad disturbing too!

In her typical fashion, Little Bean didn’t hang around for too long once the ducks had scarpered. She made off down the street at quite a pace and I am pretty sure would have made it to Gloucester unaided if I hadn’t scooped her up.

I may have to get the baby reins back out!

Can’t wait to see your adorable #SaturdaySiblings pictures.

I love a child’s curiosity and wonder at things we take for granted in the world like fish and ponds! It definitely make finding things to do easy. Lovely pics. #SaturdaySiblings

It’s lovely to see them developing that independence isn’t it? Even if you do have to run behind and scoop them up quickly! #SaturdaySiblings
