We are delighted to be partnering with USA Rice to bring you this delicious recipe for Sea Bass, stuffed with Lemon, Fennel and Wild Rice. You may not have considered using USA Wild Rice in your cooking before, but it has so many benefits. Keep reading to find out how to make this stunning, yet simple, sea bass recipe.
USA Wild rice is a 100% whole grain and offers a great source of complex carbohydrates and protein. Whole grains are great for slow-release energy, offering a healthier alternative to simpler carbohydrates. USA Wild rice is a semi-aquatic grass native to North America, and it has strict environmental and food safety regulations. In addition, USA Wild rice has a great visual appeal, especially when combined with other brown and long-grain variants. This sea bass recipe is perfect with USA Wild Rice.
USA Wild Rice
USA Wild rice is cooked using four times the amount of salted water for about 45-50 minutes until the water is absorbed. You do not need to wash or drain USA Wild rice as that can wash away the vitamins and minerals. If you are mixing the rice with other varieties, this cooking time can be reduced to roughly 20-25 minutes (please also refer to the instructions on the pack). The USA Wild rice is ready when two-thirds of the grains have burst open to reveal a fluffy, white interior.
USA Wild rice is a wonderfully diverse and healthy ingredient and can be added to salads, soups, casseroles or fish dishes, giving a delicious nutty flavour and crunchy texture.
